encourage all Opticians serving the public in Texas to become a Registered
Optician and maintain their TDSHS Registered Opticians status.

HOLIDAYS NOVEMBER AND DECEMBER
December 12th - "L.I.F.E. project", Low
Income Family Eyecare Project is being held again after a five year
intermission. This is a joint project, to benefit the homeless people of
Austin and is a collaboration between ROATx and Texas Ophthalmological
Association that provides eye health exams by Ophthalmologists and refractions by
Refracting Opticians on behalf of Prevent Blindness Texas' clients. We invite all
Certified Opticians, Registered Opticians, and Refracting Opticians to VOLUNTEER to
participate in refracting approximately 200 people in one day. Please email

over two-hundred low income people have a happier Christmas
because they can see better.

ROATx Annual Education Seminar and Convention is being

all Texas Department of State Health Services voluntarily Licensed Opticians to print out and
use the "Prescription Analysis Form" (see button at Home Page) when needed in your office.
